You can also add employees as authorized user cards for no additional cost.

Card Benefits and Perks

The Hyatt Business Card offers the following benefits and perks:

$100 in Hyatt Credit Every Anniversary Year

You can earn a $50 statement credit twice each cardmember year when you spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property, including room rates, parking, spa treatment, dining, pet fees, etc.

This benefit should be easy to earn if you are considering this card, which helps effectively lower the annual fee of this card.

Hyatt Discoverist Status For You & Five Employees

The primary cardholder and up to five designated company employees receive complimentary Hyatt Discoverist status.

This status gets you a 10% points bonus, preferred rooms, premium internet, late-checkout, and more.

The great thing is that the designated employees don’t have to be authorized users on the card.

Ability to Earn Elite Night Credits

Spending on the Hyatt Business card helps you get closer to higher elite status levels.

You can earn 5 Tier-Qualifying night credits toward status and Milestone rewards for every $10,000 you spend in a calendar year.

For example, if you spent $50,000 in a calendar year, you would receive 25 elite night credits.

You can also earn 5 elite night credits by just holding the World of Hyatt Credit Card (review).

Up to 10% Points Back

One quirky benefit of this card is that if you spend $50,000 in a calendar year, you get 10% of your redeemed points back for the rest of the year.

The timing of this benefit is important. The faster you get the $50,000 in spending in the calendar year, the more time you have to enjoy the 10% back in points.

However, this benefit is capped at 20,000 points back (or 200,000 points redeemed).

Complimentary Hyatt Leverage Membership

The primary cardholder receives a complimentary membership in the Hyatt Leverage program, which gets you a discount of up to  15% off the standard rates at participating Hyatt hotels worldwide.

Is the Hyatt Business Card Worth It?

The Hyatt Business Card is worth it if you frequently stay at Hyatt hotels and can spend a large amount each year to earn elite night credits.

While it does have a $199 annual fee, it effectively is $99 when you factor in up to $100 in statement credits each year.

Chase could improve the Hyatt Business Card by adding a free hotel night or increasing the 10% rebate cap of 20,000 points back.

If you aren’t loyal to Hyatt, you should consider another business travel rewards credit card.
