Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) has three United Clubs:

United Club IAD Near Gate C7

The United Club is located in the Midfield Terminal Concourse, near gate C7 at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). It is open daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

This United Club features high-top tables with electrical outlets for those who need to charge their devices while working or dining, comfortable couches for guests looking to unwind, and two-person tables perfect for couples or small groups traveling together.

While the lounge’s interior design may be somewhat outdated, the furnishings are well-maintained and clean. A central buffet area divides the lounge into two similar sections, each offering ample seating options. The lounge also provides a dedicated work area with six desks and chairs for those who need a quiet space to focus.

The buffet offers fruits, mac and cheese with toppings, mini sandwiches, and a salad bar. A Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage machine is available for guests to choose from a variety of sodas. Although the food quality is average, the lounge staff is exceptional in keeping the area clean and replenishing items as needed.

United Club IAD Near Gate C17

The United Club near gate C17 at Washington Dulles International Airport is located downstairs from the concourse level and is open daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

Upon entering, guests can take either the stairs or elevator down to the main lounge area. The rectangular space features a bar and restrooms on the far left side, with various seating clusters extending to the opposite wall. A conference room is available on the upper level near reception, though reservations are no longer accepted.

While the lounge lacks natural light and could benefit from some greenery, it offers various seating options, including cubicle-style desks with plugs and lights for those needing to work. The lounge’s atmosphere is more geared towards business travelers, with many guests taking advantage of the ample desk space and power outlets to catch up on work before their flights.

The food selection during this visit was somewhat disappointing, initially limited to instant noodle soup before expanding to include burritos, wraps, salad, and Slim Jim meat sticks. Beverage options consist of espresso machines, a Coke Freestyle machine, chilled Agua Bonita, and a full bar with complimentary beer, wine, and limited spirits.

Despite the lackluster food offerings, the lounge’s saving grace is its friendly and competent staff. The agents at reception and within the lounge were praised for their helpfulness and ability to assist with flight issues and changes.

Restrooms, while functional, show their age and could use some updating. The lounge’s overall appearance and amenities pale in comparison to the Polaris Lounge located directly across the concourse.

United Club IAD Near Gate D8

The United Club at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in the D Gates area is located next to Gate D8. The lounge is open daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM

The club features a large seating area on both sides of the reception desk downstairs, along with three spacious rooms offering ample seating options. A Chinese vase with a green plant and a framed blanket pays homage to United’s Asian roots.

The lounge tends to be quiet, making it a pleasant place to relax or work. Former workspaces have been replaced with a standing desk area.

Pre-packaged food options include instant noodle soup, pita chips, hummus, pretzels, popcorn, carrots, cheese-wrapped prosciutto, apples, Rice Krispie treats, trail mix, and chocolate-covered pretzels. Breakfast items are available until 11 AM. Complimentary soft drinks, juice, water, and coffee are self-serve, while alcoholic beverages can be obtained at the bar in the large back room.
