The Chase United Club credit card offers 4x miles on United purchases, 2x miles on restaurants and food delivery, 2x miles on travel, and 1x miles everywhere else.

The United Club card also offers valuable benefits such as United Club lounge access, IHG Platinum elite status, two free checked bags, primary rental car insurance, and trip delay insurance.

1. 120,000 Mile Welcome Bonus

The Chase United Club Infinite Card comes with a 120,000 mile bonus when you spend $6,000 in the first three months from card opening. 

This is a good deal because 60,000 miles gets you one-way business class to Europe on United Airlines.

2. United Club Membership

The biggest perk of the United Club Infinite card is a membership to United Clubs, which normally costs $650 per year. 

A membership gets you access to United Clubs and Star Alliance airlines when flying United or a Star Alliance airline.

To find Star Alliance lounges, visit their (1) Lounge Finder, (2) select “Filters”, (3) choose United Club under “Paid Membership Card” and (4) select your airport.

3. Earn Extra Miles in Several Categories

The United Club card earns extra miles in several categories including:

  • 4x miles on purchased with United Airlines.
  • 2 miles per $1 spent on all other travel purchases, including airfare, trains, local transit, cruise lines, hotels, car rentals, taxicabs, resorts, ride share services and tolls.
  • 2 miles per $1 spent on dining including eligible delivery services.
  • 1 mile per $1 spent on all other purchases.

4. Two Free Checked Bags

The primary cardmember and one companion traveling on the same reservation will each receive two free checked bags when traveling on a United Airlines flight.

However, you need to purchase the flight using the United Club card to receive the free checked bags benefit, unlike other airline credit cards.


5. $525 Annual Fee

The United Club Infinite card has a $525 annual fee, which is high, but it can be worth it if you are a United frequent flyer who can take advantage of the United Club membership.

6. IHG Platinum Elite Status

Starting in 2022, the United Club card comes with IHG Platinum elite status, which gets you room upgrades, extra points, and a welcome amentity. 

This card also offers a one-time $75 credit for purchases at IHG Hotels in 2022 to celebrate the addition of the IHG benefit.

7. United Priority Access

Another nice perk of this card is that it gets you priority boarding, priority check-in, priority security, and priority baggage handling so you can breeze through the airport when you fly. 

8. Additional Award Availability on United

United Club and United Explorer credit cardholders have access to increased award space on United Airlines flights. 

9. Eligible for Upgrades on Award Tickets

Premier elite members are eligible for upgrades on award tickets on United flights with the United Club Infinte card.

Without the card, Premier members are only eligible for cash tickets.

10. Trip Delay Insurance

This coverage covers any hotel, food, or transportation up to $500 per passenger in the event that your flight is delayed overnight or 12-hours.

11. Primary Rental Car Insurance

This valuable coverage pays for any damage to the rental car when you pay using your United Club credit card.  

12. Global Entry or TSA Pre-Check Credit

This card will reimburse you for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee every four years. If you already have one of them, you could always pay for it for a family or friend.

13. 25% Back on In-Flight Purchases

Cardholders get a 25% statement credit on purchases of food, beverages, and Wi-Fi on United Airlines flights. 

14. Baggage Delay Insurance

In the event that your bag is delayed for more than 6 hours, you can seek reimbursement of up to $100 a day for up to 3 days.

15. Trip Cancellation Insurance

If your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather, and other covered situations, you can be reimbursed up to $10,000 per person and $20,000 per trip for your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses, including passenger fares, tours, and hotels.

16. Lost Luggage Reimbursement

If any airline loses or damages you or your immediate family’s bag, Chase will reimburse you up to $3,000 per passenger.

17. No Foreign Transaction Fees

This card saves you 3% on foreign transactions compared with cards with foreign transaction fees.

18. 120-Day Purchase Protection

This card covers any damage or theft to items you bought within the 120 days of purchase up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per year.

19. Extended Warranty

This card extends the U.S. manufacturer’s warranty by an additional year.

20. Return Protection

This card coverage reimburses you for items that a store won’t take back within 90 days of purchase and up to $500 per item.
