IHG Milestone Rewards are bonuses and perks awarded to IHG One Rewards members as they reach new status levels within the loyalty program.
By recognizing members for their cumulative stays at IHG hotels, Milestone Rewards provide additional value to the most frequent guests.
Some of the key Milestone Rewards offered include 10,000 bonus IHG points, $20 food and beverage credits, an annual lounge membership, or confirmable suite upgrades.
This guide will detail everything you need to know about IHG’s Milestone Rewards program including the choices at each level and all of the details on each choice.
IHG Milestone Rewards Options
IHG One Rewards members have the option to choose these rewards when reaching these nightly thresholds:
20 nights: 5,000 bonus points, two food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each, or one confirmable suite upgrade.
30 nights: 5,000 bonus points or two food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each.
40 nights (choose two): 10,000 bonus points, five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each, one confirmable suite upgrade (limit one), or one annual lounge membership (limit one).
50 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each.
60 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each.
70 nights: (choose two): 10,000 bonus points, five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each, two confirmable suite upgrades (limit one), or one annual lounge membership (limit one).
80 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each.
90 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each.
100 nights: 10,000 bonus points or five food and beverage rewards of up to $20 each.
Bonus Points
IHG Elite members can choose between 5,000 bonus points after staying 20 and 30 nights and 10,000 bonus points after staying 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 nights.
Food and Beverage Credits
IHG Elite members can choose food and beverage credits, each worth up to $20 at participating IHG Hotels and Resorts and valid up to 12 months from milestone selection.
To use the credit, charge the food and beverages to your hotel bill and present the voucher at check-out.
The benefit is not available at vending machines, third-party outside food deliveries (i.e. Uber Eats), restaurants that do not allow charges to a guest room bill, gift shops, and taxes associated with minibar charges
Confirmable Suite Upgrades
Another option is confirmable suite upgrades, which is a one-room upgrade to an entry-level suite or premium room where a suite is not available for up to five nights.
These upgrade certificates are valid for 12 months from milestone selection and can be confirmed between 14 days and 24 hours before check-in.
These upgrade certificates can only be applied to stays that are on an eligible rate, including rewards nights and member discount rates. Excluded rates include Free Night or Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night, group rates, third-party booking sites, and prepaid rates.
Additionally, upgrade certificates are excluded from vid hotels, Atwell Suites, IHG Army Hotels, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, IHG Residences, including but not limited to InterContinental Residences, voco Residences, Crowne Plaza Residences, Six Senses Hotels Resort Spas, Mr & Mrs Smith properties, and InterContinental Alliance Resorts in Las Vegas and Macau.
Lastly, confirmable upgrades to Club rooms don’t get you access to Club level amenities such as Club Lounge access, free pressing, airport transportation, etc.,
Annual Lounge Membership
IHG Elite members can choose an Annual Lounge Membership, which provides access to a hotel’s Club Lounge and amenities within the physical space (library, meeting room, business station) for the member and one additional guest for their stay. It does not include other amenities such as airport transportation, free pressing, etc.
The Lounge Membership is good for the end of the year plus an additional 12 months.
Lastly, this Lounge Membership doesn’t apply to Mr. & Mrs Smith properties or InterContinental Alliance Resorts (Las Vegas and Macau).
