How to Earn Lifetime Globalist Elite Status
To earn Hyatt Lifetime Globalist status, you need to earn 1,000,000 base points over the life of your World of Hyatt account.
Hyatt awards base points at a rate of 5 points per dollar spent on room rates, dining purchases, spa treatments, and other eligible expenses at participating hotels. Amounts spent on taxes and fees are excluded.
You would need to spend the equivalent of $200,000 with Hyatt to obtain lifetime Globalist status.
If you were to meet the minimum requirements of Hyatt Globalist of 100,000 Base Points each year, it would take you over 10 years! Or if you meet the minimum requirements of Hyatt Explorist of 50,000 Base Points, it would take you 20 years!
What Doesn't Count Towards Lifetime Globalist
It is important to understand what does not count toward Hyatt Lifetime Globalist status:
- Spending on Hyatt credit cards such as the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card or World of Hyatt Credit Card.
- Elite bonus multipliers.
- Points transfers, including from Bilt Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards.
- World of Hyatt promotions.
- Points purchases.

World of Hyatt Globalist elite members enjoy these benefits: 30% Points Bonus: Globalist members earn 6.5 points per dollar (a 30% bonus) when staying at Hyatt properties. Room Upgrades: Globalist members receive space-available upgrades to the best available room, including standard suites and rooms with Club access. Premium, Specialty, Premier, Presidential, Diplomatic, and other suites other than Standard Suites are not included in this benefit.
