Starting January 1, 2024, World of Hyatt is revamping their Guest of Honor benefit and Milestone Rewards.
Guest of Honor is one of the coolest perks because it allows elite members to extend their Globalist elite perks to friends and family members.
This allows your friends and family to enjoy the Hyatt Globalist elite status perks like complimentary breakfast, 4:00 p.m. late checkout, waiver of resort and parking fees, suite upgrades, and more.
Updates for 2024
Hyatt announced several updates to the Guest of Honor program for 2024:
- Negative: Eliminated unlimited Guest of Honor Awards, which you must now earn via Milestone Rewards.
- Positive: Members who earn 40 Qualifying Nights obtain one Guest of Honor Award. Previously, you needed to reach Globalist at 60 nights.
- Positive: Hyatt will deposit 5 Guest of Honor Awards in Hyatt Globalist accounts to ease the transition in January 2024, and for Lifetime Globalists, they will receive five Guest of Honor Awards every March.
- Positive: You can now book Guest of Honor Awards on both paid and award stays. Previously, only award stays were applicable for the benefit.
- Positive: Elite members will earn an elite night credit each time a Guest of Honor Award is used by another member, which also helps that elite member reach additional Milestone Rewards.
- Positive: Elite members can now transfer Guest of Honor Awards to another member so they can use them when they want in the future.
- Positive: Guest of Honor Awards will now be bookable online instead of only by phone.
How to Earn Guest of Honor Awards
Starting in 2024, you will earn Guest of Honor Awards by hitting certain Milestone Rewards:
- 40 nights or 65,000 Base Points: 1 Guest of Honor Award.
- 60 nights or 100,000 Base Points: 2 Guest of Honor Awards (3 cumulatively).
- 70 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (4 cumulatively).
- 80 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (5 cumulatively).
- 90 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (6 cumulatively).
- 110 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (7 cumulatively).
- 120 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (8 cumulatively).
- 130 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (9 cumulatively).
- 140 nights: 1 Guest of Honor Award (10 cumulatively).
