Elite Status Hack

The Chase World of Hyatt card gives you 5 qualifying night credits each year and an additional 2 qualifying night credits for every $5,000 on your card. (e.g., you could get Discoverist status by staying 3 nights and spending $5,000 on the card (5 nights for the card + 2 nights for spending $5,000).

Re-qualification

If you already have Globalist status, you can requalify with only 55 nights in 2019 (in 2020, you need the full 60 nights).

Book a Meeting or Event

You could alternatively get elite status by holding meetings or events. Discoverist requires 3 meetings or events., Explorist requires 10 meetings or events, and Globalist requires 20 meetings or events.

Lifetime Globalist

If you earn 1 million base points over your membership, you qualify for Globalist status for the rest of your life.

Free Nights Count Towards Elite Status

You can earn elite status credits when you use your points or free night certificates. This is a nice perk for Globalist members with the Hyatt credit card, since your three free night certicates (two from milestones and one from credit card) would count towards reaching your next milestone.
