How Much It Will Cost
Emirates does not publish an award chart, but you can check the mileage using their miles calculator. However, you should be aware that the fuel surcharges, in addition to the Emirates Skywards Miles, can easily be $1,000+ per person for a roundtrip business flight. However, you can pay a lot less fuel surcharges if you start your award from as Australia, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Phillippines, South Korea, and Thailand (these countries smartly restrict the amount of fuel surcharges that an airline can charge). Another way to avoid fuel surcharges is to use your Skywards Miles on one of Emirates’ partner airlines such as Japan Airlines.
For North America East Coast, expect to pay the following rates for business class saver space roundtrip:

- 190,000 miles to Japan
- 170,000 miles to Southeast Asia.
