Qantas Overview and Information

Good Things About Qantas

Great Route Network– Qantas flies to every continent except Antartica. They have routes to Chile, South Africa, Dubai, London, and five U.S. cities.

Long-Haul Economy– Qantas is one of the best airlines for a long-haul economy flight, which is important if you are stuck on a 15-hour flight. Economy passengers can even ask for a wine-tasting in the galley. (Just ask nicely and at least an hour after main meal service)

Bad Things About Qantas

Premium Award Space from the U.S.– Finding a single seat in business class from the U.S. to Australia on Qantas is extremely difficult, even eleven months in advance. You shouldn’t have an issue finding economy award space, even close to fairly close to departure.

Weak Award Chart– Both Qantas and Cathay Pacific are both transfer partners of Qantas, however, Cathay Pacific most of the time is half of the cost. For example, if you fly 20,000 miles in business class on OneWorld Partners it would cost you 140,000 Cathay Pacific points or 280,000 Qantas points.
