Earning Hilton Elite Status

Silver

  • 4 stays or 10 nights in a calendar year
  • American Express Hilton Honors ($0 annual fee)(or Gold if you spend $20,000 in a calendar year)

Gold

  • 20 stays, 40 nights or 75,000 HH Base Points in a calendar year.
  • American Express Hilton Ascend ($95 annual fee) (diamond status if you spend $40,000 in a calendar year)
  • American Express Hilton Business ($95 annual fee) (diamond status if you spend $40,000 in a calendar year)
  • American Express Platinum ($550 annual fee)
  • American Express Business Platinum ($450 annual fee)

Diamond

  •  30 stays, 60 nights or 120,000 HH Base Points in a calendar year.
  • American Express Aspire ($450 annual fee)

Elite Status Match

Hilton will match your elite status with another hotel program. You can fill out the form online. You get status for 90 days, but you can extend if you complete 4 stays for Gold Status and 8 stays for Diamond Status. 

Rollover Nights

Silver, Gold and Diamond members will have the nights stayed over their elite status rollover to the following year. (e.g. a Gold member who stays 55 nights will have 15 nights rolled over to following year)

  • 12 points per dollar (e.g., a $200 hotel stay would get you 2,400 Hilton Points)

Gold Elite Benefits

  • 18 points per dollar. (e.g., a $200 hotel stay would get you 3,600 Hilton Points)
    • Only 9 points per dollar at Tru and Home2 hotels
  • Space-available upgrade to a preferred room: Walforf, Conrad, Curio, Hilton, Doubletree, Tapestry, and Canopy.
  • Choice of Welcome Amenity
    • Waldorf (1,000 points or free breakfast for two); Conrad, Curio, Hilton, Doubletree, and Tapestry (1,000 points or complimentary breakfast for two each day); Canopy (500 points); Embassy Suites (500 points or two snack/drinks per stay); Hilton Garden Inn (750 points or free breakfast for two each day); Hampton, Tru, and Homewood (250 points or snack and refreshment); Home2 (100 points or snack and water); and Hilton Grand Vacations (1,000 points).

    • Waldorf (1,000 points and free breakfast for two); Conrad, Curio, Hilton, Doubletree, and Tapestry (1,000 points AND complimentary breakfast for two each day); Canopy (1,000 points), Embassy Suites (1,000 points or three snack/drinks per stay); Hilton Garden Inn (750 points or free breakfast for two each day); Hampton, Tru, and Homewood (250 points or snack and refreshment); Home2 (100 points or snack and water); and Hilton Grand Vacations (2,000 points).
  • Elite Status Gifting
    • A Diamond member that reach 60 nights can gift Gold status that will be upgraded to Diamond if the gifter reaches 100 nights within a calendar year. The gifted elite status lasts for 365 days after gifting (not the calendar year like regular elite status) and you can’t change it after gifting. Additionally, you have until January 31st after you reach Diamond to gift the status to someone (e.g. if you reach Diamond in July 2019, you have until January 31, 2020, to gift the elite status, which the recipient keeps for 365 days from the date of the gift).
