Earning MVP Elite Status

You need to fly a certain number of miles and segments on Alaska Airlines and/or their partner airlinesAlaska’s partner airlines are Aer Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Condor, Emirates, Fiji, Finnair, Hainan Airlines, Icelandair, Japan Airlines, Korean Airlines, LATAM, PenAir, Qantas, Ravn, Singapore Airlines.

MVP

You need to fly either (1) 20,000 miles on Alaska Airlines or (2) 25,000 points on Alaska Airlines plus their partner airlines. Plus you need to fly at least 30 segments on Alaska Airlines and their partners. 

MVP Gold 

You need to fly either (1) 40,000 miles on Alaska Airlines or (2) 50,000 points on Alaska Airlines plus their partner airlines. Plus you need to fly at least 60 segments on Alaska Airlines and their partners. 

MVP Gold 75K 

You need to fly either (1) 75,000 miles on Alaska Airlines or (2) 90,000 points on Alaska Airlines plus their partner airlines. Plus you need to fly at least 90 segments on Alaska Airlines and their partners. 

Status Match- If you hold status in another airline, you can match your status to Alaska


MVP Elite Benefits

Below are the benefits for each of Alaska’s three elite status levels. You should be aware that you do not get elite status benefits if you book Alaska’s Basic Economy “Saver” fare.

  • 100% more points when flying Alaska Airlines and partners
  • First Class Upgrades at booking for Y, S, B, M, or Z fares.
  • Premium Class Upgrades for at booking Y, S, B, M, H, Q, L, V, N, K, or Z fares (Premium Class= 4 inches of legroom plus free alcoholic drinks)
  • First or Premium Class Upgrades on other fares 72 hours before departure.
  • Companion Upgrades for First and Premium Class.
  • Four one-way First-Class guest upgrades.
  • Free alcoholic beverage in the Main Cabin.
  • Standby and waitlist for full flights.
  • Express security lines.
  • Free same-day flight changes.
