Iberia Plus is one of my favorite points programs because you can earn a lot of Avios with credit cards, transfer Avios from British Airways or Aer Lingus, or transfer points from both American Express Membership Rewards and Chase.
Plus, there are some great ways to use Iberia Avios including only 34,000 Avios one-way for business class between the U.S. East Coast and Madrid, and flights on American Airlines.

Flying with Iberia
Iberia awards Avios based on the fare class and distance flown. You can find the chart online and select “See Avios table.”
Discounted economy class tickets typically earn between 0.25 and 0.5 Avios per mile flown.
Elite members enjoy a points bonus of 100% for Platinum members, 50% for Gold members, and 25% for Silver members.
Flying with Partner Airlines
You can earn Avios flying on OneWorld Alliance airlines and Iberia’s other partners.
The amount of Avios you collect for each flight depends on the fare class and the distance you fly.
Each airline is different, so we linked below to each airline’s page. You would then select “See Avios Table” on Iberia’s website.
Credit Cards
You can earn Avios with three Chase credit cards:
The Aer Lingus and British Airways cards would earn Avios for those programs, but you can transfer Avios between all three Avios programs if (1) both accounts have been open for 90 days, (2) each account has earned at least one Avio, and (3) the account names match.
