Delta Air Lines offers a lifetime elite status program called Million Miler that rewards frequent flyers for their loyalty.

The program is designed to recognize and reward Delta’s most loyal customers who have flown over a million miles with the airline.

Delta Million Milers enjoy a range of benefits, including lifetime Medallion status, which comes with benefits such as complimentary upgrades, priority boarding, and waived fees.

In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Delta Million Miler program, how to qualify for it, and the perks you can expect to receive as a member.

What Counts Towards Million Miler Status?

Starting in 2024, Delta is changing what counts towards their lifetime elite status.

Previously, Delta calculated Million Miler status based on Medallion Qualifying Miles, which could be earned via credit cards and for flying in first or Delta One.

Now, Delta Million Miler status will be calculated based on the actual miles flown.

For example, if you flew a round-trip flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles, which covers a flight distance of 3,893 miles, that amount (3,893) would count towards your Million Miler status.

Any lifetime Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQMs) you earned before 2024 will be converted at a 1 to 1 ratio to Lifetime miles.

Additionally, Delta Basic Economy fares do not earn miles towards Million Miler status.
