Happy Wednesday. Here’s your miles, points, travel, and deals news for December 11, 2024:
JetBlue Adding Mini Mint Fleet-Wide
JetBlue plans to introduce a “Mini Mint” first-class across its fleet starting in 2026. It will feature Collins Aerospace MiQ seats in a two-by-two configuration similar to American Airlines’ domestic first class.
The airline will maintain the current total seat counts by reducing the economy pitch from 32″ to 30″, Mini Mint will offer a 36-37″ pitch, and Even More Space seats will have a 35″ pitch.
A220 aircraft will get 8 first-class seats, while A320s and A321s will receive 12 first-class seats each. Implementation will begin on older A320s before moving to newer aircraft.
The rollout comes as part of JetBlue’s $400 million premium product initiative between 2025-2027, which includes new airport lounges at JFK and Boston opening in late 2025. This strategic move aims to capture premium market demand, particularly in JetBlue’s Northeast hubs and Florida routes, while helping boost long-haul Mint sales through enhanced connectivity in premium cabins.
