New Bonuses on Venture X and Venture X Business
Capital One just dropped elevated welcome offers on both the Capital One Venture X Business and personal Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card cards, and these are some of the biggest bonuses we’ve seen from the issuer.
The Venture X Business is offering up to 400,000 bonus miles: you’ll earn 200,000 miles after spending $30,000 in the first three months, plus another 200,000 miles after hitting a total of $150,000 in spend within the first six months.
The personal Venture X is now offering 100,000 bonus miles after you spend $10,000 in the first six months, marking the first time this elevated offer has been available since the card’s launch period in late 2021.
Both cards carry a $395 annual fee but offer similar benefits including a $300 annual Capital One Travel credit, 10,000 anniversary bonus miles, Priority Pass and Capital One Lounge access, and a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit. The business version earns a flat 2x miles on all purchases with no preset spending limit, while the personal card earns up to 10x miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel, 5x on flights and vacation rentals, and 2x on everything else.
You can hold both cards simultaneously and earn both welcome bonuses, but there are some restrictions: the business card isn’t available if you currently have it, previously had the Spark Travel Elite Card, or hold the Spark Cash Plus, while the personal card has a 48-month family rule preventing you from moving down to lower-tier Venture cards after earning a bonus. Capital One also requires you to wait six months between approvals for new cards across both personal and business products.
Apple Wallet Gets Digital ID
Apple launched a new Digital ID feature on Wednesday that lets you digitize your U.S. passport or eligible driver’s license information in Apple Wallet and present it through your iPhone or Apple Watch using Face ID or Touch ID for authentication.
The beta feature currently works at more than 250 TSA checkpoints nationwide for domestic travel, but you’ll still need to carry your physical passport for immigration and anywhere else it’s required by law, with additional acceptance locations coming in the future.
Alaska Rome Flights Launch April
Alaska Airlines will start daily nonstop service between Seattle and Rome on April 28, 2026, using Boeing 787-9s from its Hawaiian Airlines merger.
The outbound flight departs Seattle at 5:30 AM and arrives in Rome at 1:15 PM local time, while the return leaves Rome at 3:25 PM and lands in Seattle at 5:45 PM — covering 4,943 nautical miles in about 10 hours and 45 minutes.
Rome marks Alaska’s third long-haul destination from Seattle after Tokyo Narita in May and Seoul Incheon in September, with London Heathrow and Reykjavik planned for spring 2026 as the airline works toward serving at least 12 intercontinental destinations from Seattle by 2030.
