Here is the latest miles, points, travel, and deals news:
JetBlue Elite Status Changes
JetBlue is rolling out changes to its Mosaic elite program starting February 1, 2026, with most updates representing cuts to lower-tier benefits while rewarding top-tier members.
The airline is introducing family tiles — the first-ever family status qualification system at a major U.S. airline — allowing children aged 12 and under to pool their earned tiles with a linked adult’s account, meaning families can reach elite status up to three times faster depending on how many kids are traveling.
Mosaic 3 members will see their earning rate increase from 3 bonus points per dollar to 4 bonus points per dollar (10 total points per dollar on base fares), while Mosaic 4 members jump to 5 bonus points per dollar (11 total points per dollar on base fares), and Mosaic 4 members will also receive two additional Move to Mint upgrade certificates each year for a total of four.
All Mosaic status will now extend through January 31 instead of expiring on December 31, giving members an extra month to use their benefits and allowing more time for qualifying activity to post.
On the downside, Mosaic 1 members are getting hit hard — they’ll drop from two free checked bags to just one, complimentary extra-legroom seat upgrades will be limited to two companions for Mosaic 1 and 2 members (down from eight) and four companions for Mosaic 3 and 4 members (also down from eight), and all Mosaic members will see their complimentary alcoholic beverages cut from three drinks per flight to just one when flying in standard economy.
JetBlue says these changes reflect member feedback and evolving travel preferences, but it’s clear the airline is concentrating value at higher tiers while scaling back entry-level perks to match industry standards like United’s program.
The changes come as JetBlue prepares to launch its first lounges at JFK and Boston, roll out its DOT-approved partnership with United for reciprocal mileage redemptions and shared elite benefits, and further enhance its premium travel offerings following the debut of the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard with a $499 annual fee.
United Mile Play Is Back
United’s latest Mile Play promotion offers targeted bonus miles for completing paid flights by December 22, with rewards varying significantly by member — examples range from 2,800 miles for two trips over $300 each to 14,000 miles for two trips over $225 each.
You’ll need to register at United’s Mile Play page before booking, and only paid United-operated flights count toward the promotion (so any existing bookings won’t qualify unless you cancel and rebook). The offers differ widely based on your MileagePlus status and booking history, with some members seeing requirements as low as one $100+ trip for 3,000 miles while others need five trips to earn their bonus.
Southwest’s New Cabin Debuts
Southwest just took delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX with completely redesigned interiors, featuring RECARO R2 seats with USB-A and USB-C power ports, personal device holders, multi-adjustable headrests, and a fresh blue-toned aesthetic with updated carpet and lighting throughout the 175-seat cabin.
The new look will only roll out on newly delivered MAX aircraft going forward, while existing planes are getting piecemeal upgrades like extra legroom sections (created by tightening pitch elsewhere), power outlets on select 737-700s starting in late 2026, and larger overhead bins on some aircraft.
The extra legroom seats at the front are visually distinguished with lighter striping on the seat fabric, and all passengers get tray tables with dual cup holders plus access to Viasat Wi-Fi that’ll be free for Rapid Rewards members soon.
Enterprise Plus Your Points Returns
Enterprise is bringing back its annual Plus Your Points promotion from October 29, 2025, through February 28, 2026, and you can pre-register now to start earning double base points on qualifying rentals plus bonus points for completing various tasks.
You’ll snag 20 points just for registering, and there are tons of ways to rack up more—75 points for weekend rentals at airport or neighborhood locations, 75 points for booking 15+ days in advance, 75 points for international rentals outside your home country, 500 points for extended rentals over 28 days, and even weekly “Spin to Win” chances for up to 50 points starting November 3.
Additional badges are available based on your location (like 75 points for SUV rentals if you’re in the U.S. or Canada, or 75 points for van rentals if you’re in Europe), plus you can earn points for first-time actions like downloading the app (100 points), opting into emails (100 points), or completing your first rental (200 points).
Bilt Adds Gopuff Delivery
Bilt now lets you order groceries, household essentials, and alcohol (where legal) through Gopuff directly in the Bilt app, earning 1 point per dollar on top of whatever your linked credit card earns. You can pay with points at 0.7 cents each, which isn’t a great value, but the real win here is stacking your card’s rewards with Bilt points on purchases you’d make anyway—plus these orders count toward Bilt status.
American Adding Lavazza Coffee
American Airlines will start serving Lavazza coffee across all cabin classes and in its Admirals Club and Flagship Lounges beginning early 2026. The family-owned Italian coffee company has been around since 1895 and is known for blending traditional Italian methods with modern techniques to create premium coffee.
