Choice Privileges points expire after 18 months of account inactivity, which can be reset every time you earn or redeem at least one point.

However, if you an Choice elite member, your points expiration is paused through December 31, 2021.

What Will Extend Your Points?

There are several things that will extend the life of your Choice points, including:

  • Earning points from hotel stays.
  • Redeeming Choice Privileges points for free nights, gift cards, etc.
  • Earning points from the Choice Privileges Visa.
