The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card has a minimum credit limit of $5,000, an average credit limit of $10,000, and a maximum starting credit limit of approximately $50,000.
If you need a higher credit limit, you may be able to contact Chase to reallocate your credit limit from other Chase cards or request an increase after holding the Sapphire Preferred for at least a year.
Another option would be to instead get the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, which has a minimum credit limit of $10,000 and a top credit limit of approximately $100,000.
But remember Chase that has a strict rule that you can’t open a Sapphire Reserve if (1) you currently have a Sapphire Preferred, or (2) you received a bonus on the Sapphire Preferred in the last 48 months.
