The Chase Aer Lingus credit card offers a large sign-up bonus of 100,000 Avios, and the card earns 3x Avios on Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia.
However, the benefits of the card are somewhat lacking to justify the $95 past the first year, unless you spend enough each year to obtain the Companion Certificate.

Aer Lingus Card Benefits
Priority Boarding– You can enjoy priority boarding for you and any authorized users from flights to or from the United States. All you need to do is show your Aer Lingus card when boarding.
Companion Ticket– If you spend $30,000 per calendar year, you will receive an economy companion ticket that can be used within 12 months.
No Foreign Transaction Fees– This benefit can save you 3% in fees when traveling internationally.
Secondary Rental Car Insurance– This secondary coverage covers any damage to a rental car that your insurance does not pay. (Primary insurance on many other cards pays before your insurance)
Baggage Delay Insurance– This coverage reimburses you for essential purchases such as toiletries and clothing if your bag is delayed over 6 hours up to $100 a day for 3 days.
Lost Luggage Reimbursement– This coverage reimburses you for up to $3,000 per passenger if a checked or carry on bag is damaged or lost by the airline or common carrier.
120-Day Purchase Protection– This protection covers new purchases for 120 days up to $500 per claim. For example, if you lost your phone within the first 120 days and bought the phone with the Aer Lingus card, you would be covered.
Extended Warranty– This coverage extends the U.S. manufacturer’s warranty by an additional year.
The Chase Aer Lingus card offers a great sign-up bonus for big spenders, but the benefits are lacking to justify a $95 annual fee.
Most people would be better off with the Chase Sapphire Preferred unless you fly Aer Lingus, British Airways, or Iberia frequently.
