The Cardless Miami Marlins card has no annual fee and offers 5x points for Marlins’ tickets and 3x points at bars and restaurants.

This card could be a good option if you buy a lot of Marlins tickets and want to redeem the points for Marlins gear.

However, the card has suffered several negative changes since its launch. Cardless reduced the welcome bonus from 30,000 points ($300) to 5,000 points ($50). Cardless also eliminated 3x points at gas stations and drug stores.

Due to these negative changes, we now recommend several other alternative cards detailed below instead of Miami Marlins credit card.

Welcome Bonus of 5,000 Points

Cardless is offering a welcome bonus of 5,000 points (worth at least $50) when you spend $500 in the first 3 months.

This card previously had a welcome bonus of 30,000 points (worth $300), so I recommend waiting for a higher bonus to return. Or get one of our recommended cards below, which is a better option.

Earning Points with Cardless Marlins Card

The Cardless Miami Marlins card earns:

  • 5x points per dollar on Marlins home game tickets purchased through MLB.com.
  • 3x points per dollar at bars and restaurants.
  • 1x points per dollar on everything else.

However, when the Marlins card launched it also offered 3x points on gas and drug store purchases, but Cardless eliminated these valuable categories.

Redeeming Rewards

Gift Cards – Redeem your Miami Marlins points for Fanatics gift cards for Marlins gear at 1.25 cents each.

Statement Credits – Redeeming points for statement credits is at 1 cent per point.

Redeem for Premium Items – Rewards vary from seat upgrades and signed memorabilia to VIP experiences and meetups with players. For example, you can get an autographed jersey for 15,000 points or an autographed baseball for 10,000 points.

Transfer to Home Run Rewards – Cardless lets you transfer your points to Home Run Rewards, the Miami Marlins’ official rewards program. You’ll have exclusive access to sports items and events like batting practice passes, game-used memorabilia, and even an all-expense-paid trip to witness the Marlins play live. The redemption rate is 10 Cardless points per 1 Home Run Reward point.

The Verdict

I am no longer a fan of this card after the recent devaluation. The card used to be a good option with extra points in valuable categories.
