The Chase United Quest℠ Card is a travel rewards card that offers great benefits for frequent United Airlines flyers.

The Quest Card comes with several nice benefits to help offset the $250 annual fee:

$125 Credit: Each anniversary year, cardholders will receive a $125 annual United purchase statement credit that will help offset the $250 annual fee.

Up to 10,000 Miles back: Automatically get 5,000 United miles back into your account after taking a United award flight up to two times per anniversary year.

Two Free Checked Bags: Cardholders get up to two free checked bags for you and a companion on the same reservation when you purchase the flight with the Quest card.

The Chase United Club Infinite offers United Club membership for the primary cardholder if you have a same-day boarding pass for travel on United, a Star Alliance partner, or a contracted partner.

You can also bring two adults or one adult and dependent children under 21 years of age as guests.

The card also offers 4 miles per dollar spent on United purchases, 2 miles per dollar spent on travel and dining, and 1 mile per dollar spent on all other purchases.

Plus, you and one companion can get your first and second checked bags free on United-operated flights when you buy the tickets with your card.

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is a premium travel rewards card that’s perfect for travelers who want outstanding travel perks like annual travel credits, worldwide airport lounge access, and travel and purchase protections. 

The Venture X earns 2x miles on all purchases helping you maximize every dollar of your spending. Plus, you can earn 10x miles on hotels and rental cars, and 5x miles on flights booked through Capital One.

The Chase Iberia Visa if you fly Iberia at least once per year, with a 10% discount on Iberia flights, 3x Avios per dollar on flights with Iberia, Aer Lingus, British Airways, and LEVEL, and a $1,000 flight discount voucher if you spend $30,000 on the card in a calendar year.

The card also offers a huge welcome bonus of 100,000 points per year 75,000 Avios after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening and an additional 25,000 Avios after spending $20,000 within the first 12 months of account opening.

The British Airways Visa Signature® Card is a good option if you fly British Airways at least once per year.

The card offers a 10% discount on British Airways flights starting in the United States, up to $600 in statement credits annual to offset taxes and fees on reward tickets, and 3 Avios per $1 spent on purchases with British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, and LEVEL.

This card also offers a huge welcome bonus of up to 100,000 Avios, which is split between 75,000 Avios after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months, and an additional 25,000 Avios after you spend $20,000 in the first 12 months.

The Chase Aeroplan® Card is a unique card that offers nice benefits on Air Canada and preferred pricing when redeeming your Aeroplan points.

The Aeroplan Card earns 3x points per dollar at grocery stores, restaurants, eligible food delivery services, and with Air Canada directly.

Cardmembers also get a free first checked bag for themselves plus 8 companions on the same reservation, and new cardmembers will receive Air Canada 25K Elite Status for the remainder of the year plus the following calendar year.

Big spenders can also earn nice perks: 500 bonus points for every $2,000 you spend in a calendar month (up to 1,500 bonus points per month), and a one-tier status upgrade when you spend $50,000 on the card in a calendar year. 

8. American Express® Gold Card

The American Express® Gold Card is one of my favorite cards because it earns:

  • 4x Membership Rewards® points at restaurants worldwide, including takeout and delivery in the U.S.,
  • 4x Membership Rewards® points at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 per calendar year in purchases, then 1x). 
  • 3x points on flights booked directly with airlines or on amextravel.com

Plus, card members get nice credits when you enroll your Gold Card to offset the annual fee:

  • $120 Uber Cash: Add your Gold Card to your Uber account, and each month automatically get $10 in Uber Cash for Uber Eats orders or Uber rides in the U.S.
  • $120 Dining Credit: Satisfy your cravings and earn up to $10 in statement credits monthly when you pay with the American Express® Gold Card at Grubhub, The Cheesecake Factory, Goldbelly, Wine.com, Milk Bar and select Shake Shack locations.
